Meet your cake designer
About me
Baking has always been a passion of mine. I was shy as a teenager, so sharing my creations was a way for me to make friends. Throughout the years it has been an escape, a creative outlet, and now my full time job.
I have a degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah and a Masters degree in Business from Westminster College. My MBA thesis was a business plan for a brick and mortar bakery which successfully convinced me that I never want a physical walk in style bakery!
I started focusing more on creative cake design when making birthday cakes for my kids. After my sons first birthday I became obsessed. Cakes were all I could think about. I made all my family's event cakes, then friends, then friends of friends and soon strangers were calling me for cakes at which point I decided it was time to launch a full blown business.
When my second son was born, I decided it was time to leave my career as a Financial Advisor to stay home to focus first and foremost on my children, and also to pursue my new found obsession with cake design.
In 2020 we relocated to Wyomissing Pennsylvania. Word of mouth quickly spread and before I knew it, Fresh Cake had grown to what it is today.
My Husband Ben continues to be my biggest supporter, cheerleader and taste tester. He has a background in graphic design which helps as we brainstorm ideas when a design is stuck. He also creates many of my custom images, cake toppers and signs. Preferred wedding and event cake provider at:
